A lot of people do not realize that there are many great
reasons to dance. Some of these reasons include the physical aspect, the life
lessons and the amount of entertainment it brings. There are various great
outcomes that come along with dancing.
The first great outcome of dance is the physical aspect.
Dancing strongly increases endurance and cardio from doing it repeatedly again
and again. It also increases balance, posture, muscle tone and flexibility.
Co-ordination is another benefit that comes from dance since you have to be thinking
about everything your body is doing and making sure its correct. For example,
if you are doing a turn, you need to be focussing on your arm position, posture
and leg placement. The best physical aspect of dance is the great exercise you
get out of it, because it’s a fun way to stay fit and healthy!
The second great outcome to dance is all the great life
lessons you learn. You have to learn how to work well and connect with others
in your group. If you do not connect with them and just do your own thing, the
dance will not be nearly as good. You also learn responsibility and how to
respect your competitors. You have a responsibility to your group and have to
make sure you are always pulling your weight; otherwise, you will let your
group down. Another thing that will help
you in life is the confidence building you get from dancing and competitions.
You learn how to become more confident because you have to perform on stage in
front of large numbers of people, and eventually you gain confidence from
people watching you. You can take these skills that you learn and apply them to
the real world in how you deal with people in your career or social
environments.
The final great outcome to dance is the entertainment value.
You get to meet lots of new people from the studio and from competitions that
you become great friends with for life. It’s great to do what you love with
amazing friends. It’s also lots of fun because you get to travel and compete in
many great places as well as getting to bond with everyone in your studio. You
can learn from older dancers and teachers as well as teach younger dancers. In
my opinion, the best part of dance is competing in competitions. I enjoy competing because I’m very
competitive ad really enjoy winning because it shows that all of my hard work
and passion was worth it.
Taking all of these reasons into consideration, I believe
dance is a great activity that keeps you in shape, builds great values and has
many different positive benefits.
I really enjoyed your speech topic, and you had a lot of useful content. However, you should add more examples and use a thesaurus to expand your vocabulary. Other than that, your speech was very well-thought out and organized. Good job!
ReplyDeleteYour speech is very interesting and informative, the way you went in depth with all the ways that dance can help your life gave your speech some very strong points. However, I feel that you may have been a bit too repetitive how you were listing the different ways dance can help, for example you kept saying "this is how dance can help you" "this is another way dance can help you" I would personally try to think of some other ways to say that just to make it a bit less repetitive, overall I think that your speech really shows your personality and I can tell by your writing that this is a topic you truly love. Good job!

Chelsey this is a really good speech! You have great ideas and you express them in a really good way. You had a really great way of ending your speech! I do think that you could maybe rearrange some of your words a little in a few different places but al in all I really enjoyed reading and I found it very ingesting! Well done Chelsey !
ReplyDeleteYour speech was really interesting, for a person like me who doesn't like "physical activities". You can change some of you sentences or rearrange some words because it is a bit repetitive. I believe your message was really clear and you end your speech in a really good way
