Response to Video Killed the Radio Star Parody

In many senses, the parody and the origional version of the song have the same messages, this message is how technology is progressing over time. The question is, is this a good thing or a bad thing? I personally am on the fence about this whole topic. I believe that progressing in technology is a good thing because it can help a lot of people such as technology helping with medical breakthroughs, but I also think that things can go a bit too far. I mean a phone that you can have conversations with? I don't see much of a point in that. I personally don't let things like twitter and facebook run my life, but many people all ages do, this video told the truth in my opinion and although technology can be good for some things, most technology is pointless. Instead of playing outside and exploring like I did when I was a child, kids these days sit at home on the computer or tv. I was at the mall a few months ago and saw a baby in a stroller playing with an iPad! If that's not crazy, then I don't know what is. The point is, that yes technology can be good, but it shouldn't be made available to people who are going to ruin their lives with it.

  1. I agree with your response, Paige. I think we are lucky to have been born at a time when technology is just starting to grow, so we have the best of both worlds.
